According to disclosures from Rockstar, GTA 6 is set to launch no earlier than the fall of 2025. However, it’s clear that the game’s appeal remains incredibly strong.
Even before its release, GTA 6 recently made an appearance in a nomination for The Game Awards, and according to gamers’ opinions, there is a 99% chance that this blockbuster will “sweep the award” easily.
Specifically, GTA 6 has been nominated for the Most Anticipated Game alongside other titles such as Ghost of Yotei, Monster Hunter Wilds, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
Without even discussing the quality and anticipation surrounding the other games, many Vietnamese gamers believe that GTA 6 is “unmatched” in this category. Clearly, the GTA series has maintained its influence over the years, with GTA 5 deemed a timeless masterpiece, still boasting a large player base today. GTA 6 is expected to achieve even more as it is the first project to have an investment of up to $1 billion, developed over more than a decade, and committed to setting a new standard in the gaming world.
Vietnamese gamers are not particularly surprised by the likelihood of GTA 6 winning awards, even before its release. Nonetheless, it must be acknowledged that there is some unfairness to its competitors, particularly Monster Hunter Wilds, which recently launched a highly successful open beta test, receiving numerous accolades and positive feedback from players. However, in light of GTA 6’s immense allure, Monster Hunter Wilds seems to have little chance of competing.
However, many players still feel concerned as recent information suggests that the release date for GTA 6 may be pushed back to 2026, a scenario that no one desires. This information is somewhat substantiated as, to date, all that has been revealed about GTA 6 is a brief trailer, with no signs of a second trailer being released anytime soon. Nevertheless, on a positive note, Rockstar has yet to announce any new developments and continues to assert that this blockbuster will launch as scheduled.
