After 6 weeks since its release, Inside Out 2 has grossed $601 million domestically and $861 million internationally, bringing its total global earnings to $1.46 billion. Meanwhile, the production cost of this animated film was only $200 million.
Inside Out 2 has achieved impressive box office numbers partly due to the success of its predecessor in 2015 and strong word-of-mouth. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has received positive reviews from both critics (91%) and audiences (96%). This sequel is seen as a “launchpad” for Pixar to re-enter the film race and continue producing other successful films after struggling with several consecutive box office failures.

Dune 2
The blockbuster Dune 2 has grossed $711 million worldwide. Outside of the US and Canada, the film has sold the most tickets in the UK, China, France, Germany, and Australia. According to Variety, Dune 2 had a production budget of $190 million. David A. Gross, the operator of the consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research, believes that the high revenue of Dune 2 is a remarkable achievement for a science fiction blockbuster.
Dune 2 continues the story from the first part, focusing on Paul Atreides’ (played by Timothée Chalamet) quest for revenge against those who destroyed his family. Paul receives help from the Fremen people and Chani (Zendaya), the beautiful girl he met during his exile.
The first part of Dune was released in 2021, grossing over $400 million and winning 6 Academy Awards. Alongside Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya reprising their roles, the sequel features Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux, Austin Butler, and Christopher Walken.
Bob Marley: One Love
The global revenue of Bob Marley: One Love has now surpassed $179 million. The film also topped the box office in North America during its first two weeks of release. This is considered an impressive achievement for a film with a production budget of $70 million.
