The End of 2024 Marks an Exciting Time for New Game Releases
If Marvel Rivals has attracted over 10 million players in its launch week, then Path of Exile 2 has also made a significant impact on Steam. This week, Infinity Nikki has even confirmed an impressive milestone. Specifically, this game has surpassed 20 million downloads just seven days post-launch.
Launched on December 5th on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile, Infinity Nikki’s success is already being reported ahead of many other games.
Since the beginning of its launch phase, the game has registered over 30 million accounts and is still growing. Notably, 66% of the total registered accounts have descended from this game to their own devices. Despite facing high competition, Infinity Nikki has achieved scores of 81 on Metacritic and 78 on Opencritic. However, other games in the same genre are still struggling to attract enticing rewards as the developers of this game have enjoyed success after reaching 10 million downloads in record time.
We cannot overlook the success and appeal of Infinity Nikki; however, it is essential to recognize that other Vietnamese games currently being released are not performing poorly compared to this phenomenon. It raises the question of how Infinity Nikki became “popular.” Many players feel that this game is too simplistic, lacking the essential challenge elements and focusing more on exploration and fashion styling for characters. When considering the challenge elements, they still fall short compared to Genshin Impact—a blockbuster that was once labeled as “too easy” after its initial launch phase.
Furthermore, Infinity Nikki’s hardware requirements are exceptionally high, causing mobile players to experience lag and overheating after prolonged gameplay sessions.
Overall, Infinity Nikki is still regarded as a quality title for 2024. However, it may only appeal to those users looking for a “chill” gaming experience rather than those who wish to dive into challenging quests.
