“Wealth, fame, and power,” the opening monologue of the anime One Piece, remains relevant to this day. Anyone who sets sail in pursuit of the legendary treasure One Piece is chasing those three things along with the title of Pirate King.

In his message, Vegapunk states that whoever obtains One Piece will gain that “power.” But what power is the doctor referring to?
One Piece Grants the Pirate King Control Over Ancient Weapons
A Japanese translator on Twitter/X noted: “In Japanese, demonstrative pronouns like ‘その – that’ can be ambiguous and may refer to multiple things. In this case, it is possible that it refers to the power of the Ancient Weapons.“
In other words, the one who finds One Piece will also gain control over the Ancient Weapons. However, whether this interpretation by the editor is correct remains to be seen.
The three Ancient Weapons are invincible tools that sank the world over 800 years ago. Vegapunk has stated that the Great War is not yet over and that those powers will be used again. Currently, the story has revealed Poseidon and Pluton. However, the mermaid princess Shirahoshi cannot use her Poseidon powers at will. On the other hand, Pluton is hidden in Wano, and no one knows how to wield it.
The form and power of Uranus remain unknown. It is also unclear whether Uranus is a living being like Poseidon or a man-made object like Pluton. While the series has introduced the Ancient Weapons, no one has yet been able to control them.
It is believed that Laugh Tale holds the true secrets of the past. Therefore, this place may contain the key for the one who finds One Piece to utilize the Ancient Weapons. Luffy’s true dream is something he can only achieve after becoming the Pirate King. Thus, once he gains that “power” after finding One Piece, a battle will commence that will shake the world to its very core.
Where is One Piece?
The One Piece treasure is located on Laugh Tale. This island, situated at the end of the New World, contains the wealth and power that the entire world dreams of possessing. The Roger Pirates were the only ones to find it in over 800 years. The final island can be reached by following the Log Pose to Lodestar.
The only way to get there is to find four Road Poneglyphs. Each Poneglyph contains the coordinates of a location. By connecting those four locations on a map, the point of interaction will reveal the location of Laugh Tale.
