According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, monitoring of satellite images and weather radar has shown that several convective cloud clusters are forming over the Ha Dong district. Additionally, a convective cloud area from the east is moving inland and beginning to affect southern districts such as Phu Xuyen, Ung Hoa, and My Duc.
In the next 30 minutes to 4 hours, the districts of Ha Dong, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Dong Da, and Hai Ba Trung are expected to experience rain, rain showers, and possible thunderstorms. The rain and thunderstorms will then continue to spread to other districts in the city center. During these storms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds.
On November 18, the cold air mass has been reported to be moving southward.
By the evening and night of November 18, this cold air mass will affect several areas in the Northeastern region of Northern Vietnam; subsequently, it will impact other locations in the Northeastern region and the North Central region, as well as some areas in the Northwestern and Central regions. Northeasterly winds will reach level 2-3 inland and level 3-4 along the coast.
From the night of November 18, the Northeastern region and Thanh Hoa will experience cold weather at night and early morning; from the night of November 19, the Northern and North Central regions will also see chilly nights and mornings. The lowest temperatures during this cold wave in the Northern and North Central regions are expected to range from 18-20 degrees Celsius, with mountainous areas experiencing temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.
