An LCK Team Almost Disbands During the 2024 Offseason Transfer Window
As of now, in the 2024 offseason transfer window, only T1 has made definitive moves regarding their roster in the LCK. Meanwhile, other teams are still mired in rumors without any official confirmations. However, following T1’s lead, on the morning of November 19 (Vietnam time), KT Rolster bid farewell to nearly their entire roster.
Not only did they part ways with most of their first-team players (retaining only PerfecT and Bdd), but several players and coaching staff from the KT Challengers team also left. This can be viewed as a complete restructuring of KT’s lineup in preparation for the new season.
Previously, when the season ended, KT had already confirmed the departure of Deft, who is set to fulfill his military obligations. Therefore, this near-total disbandment by KT did not come as a surprise to fans. Now, supporters are eagerly waiting to see how T1’s rival will rebuild their roster for the upcoming season’s “telecom battles.”
Fan of a Gen.G Superstar Hints That Their Idol May Depart in This Transfer Window
Recently, Gen.G announced that all members have become free agents. A dedicated fan of Peyz even posted a heartfelt message implying that their idol might be leaving.
“My two years with Gen.G have taught me many valuable lessons and brought me countless happy moments. I will always support Peyz in his next steps. While I have always cheered for all the players who were part of Gen.G since 2022, I understand that everyone has their own paths. So if someone decides to leave, I will still wish them well. This time was short, but I have some beautiful memories.”
The rumors about Peyz’s departure have been circulating, especially after his performance showed little improvement since his debut. Additionally, there have been rumors about Ruler possibly returning. If Gen.G recruits Ruler, it would be a waste to keep Peyz on the bench.
Regardless of the outcome, Gen.G is sure to experience significant personnel changes in the upcoming season. These changes will be noteworthy as they continue their quest for their first true World Championship title, despite facing repeated setbacks in the past.
