Arcane – the animated series produced by Riot Games, has caused a sensation since its release in 2021. Set in the universe of Runeterra from the game League of Legends, Arcane is a perfect blend of storytelling and stunning visuals. The series deeply explores the conflicts, emotions, and struggles of characters in two opposing regions: the affluent city of Piltover and the dark underbelly of Zaun.
In November, the second season of Arcane officially premiered and quickly garnered significant attention from avid fans. The show continues to take viewers on a journey with the two sisters, Jinx and Vi, as events unfold following Jinx’s attack on the Piltover council, leading to many intense and captivating developments. This was the reason for the “Into The Arcane” event, which became the largest offline festival of the year dedicated to the gaming community of titles developed by Riot Games and published by VNGGames in Vietnam.
The event offered fans an immersive experience in the Arcane universe, filled with various activities at booths featuring popular games such as League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and VALORANT. Despite the unfavorable weather, the event attracted gamers who lined up early to join the vibrant atmosphere of the Arcane universe. Over 7,000 gamers attended the festival, and 15,000 exclusive gifts featuring Arcane themes were distributed, alongside game codes.
Fans of Arcane and the various games have been actively participating in thrilling esports competitions. Events like the Arcane Cup (Teamfight Tactics) and ARAM Cup of Arcane (League of Legends) have garnered attention, alongside Wild Rounds Vietnam (League of Legends: Wild Rift). Although the weather was not accommodating, the event successfully attracted a large crowd of gamers eager to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Arcane universe.
Additionally, players were immersed in the Arcane universe, interacting with impressive cosplay of Arcane characters, meeting characters like Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Ekko, Mel, and Silco, and engaging in challenges within the context of the Arcane film. This allowed attendees to feel like part of the Arcane story as they participated in various themed challenges.
Notably, the Arcane event featured appearances from prominent figures in the gaming community such as commentator Hoàng Luân, MC Mai Dora, MC Tạ Vy, Optimus, Noway, Hoa Nhật Huỳnh, Yuna, Lépt the Little Kid, Thỏ MyMy, and even Coyote – a former gold medalist at SEA Games 31. Their presence contributed to the vibrant atmosphere at the offline event held at Tân Bình sports center over the past two days.
This was one of the final events in the offline series of League of Legends for 2024. This culminating event also demonstrates Riot Games and VNGGames’ commitment to continuing their collaboration, creating attractive esports environments for players, and enhancing the development of the Vietnamese esports scene, bringing outstanding athletes and teams to compete internationally while seeking opportunities to introduce captivating esports tournaments to Vietnam.
