A film that brings tears and creates an unpredictable animated adventure.” They also hailed it as a glorious victory for director Chris Sanders, who was behind the success of How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch.

In terms of revenue, The Wild Robot opened with a global box office of $54 million, topping the box office in North America. This figure exceeded earlier predictions and helped The Wild Robot rank among the top 3 animated films with the highest September opening of all time, just behind the first two installments of Hotel Transylvania.

When the sound is turned on, you have one of the best animated films of the decade.” At its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, critics also showered the project with praise and predicted it would be a blockbuster that shakes the global box office. Of course, that has become a reality.
