The ending of Jujutsu Kaisen has a special message that no one noticed

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga ends with a large image of Sukuna's finger accompanied by a very special message that has not been translated into English.

The ending of Jujutsu Kaisen has sparked considerable controversy as the manga concludes right after the major battle between the young sorcerers and the King of Curses. Sukuna encounters Mahito in the corridor that souls pass through after death. Mahito tells Sukuna that he lied about wanting to live in accordance with his true nature.

Sukuna not only lies to others but also deceives himself. Since Mahito can sense souls, his prior interactions with Sukuna have been sufficient for him to realize that Sukuna is living in a lie. The King of Curses genuinely desires revenge on all who regard him with disdain.

However, Sukuna states that he has two choices to live, and if there is a next life, he would choose a different path. As he speaks, he comforts the weeping Uraume and departs with him, leaving an enraged Mahito behind. In the final frame of the manga, we see Sukuna’s finger sealed inside a small wooden box.

What most fans may not know is that the wooden box containing Sukuna’s finger bears a special message written on it. The content of the message reads: “Resist evil and threats of revenge”. However, this information was lost in translation.

The story of Jujutsu Kaisen begins with Sukuna’s finger being used to protect a certain area from curses and ends with the last finger being used for the same purpose.

Despite all his malevolence, Sukuna has been used as a means of protection for centuries, and he continues to be utilized in this way even after his second death.

A Jujutsu Kaisen fan shared the message written on the box’s lid on Twitter/X, and many appreciated the significance behind it.

One commenter noted: “So the finger has become a sort of talisman, and now instead of attracting curses, it repels them? Even more so, as the temple is not locked but open in a serene, peaceful atmosphere.”

“If I remember correctly, the symbol of a temple or some container holding a spiritual object opening gently means that the soul is moving forward,” another user shared.

“This makes me want to check the first chapter to see what the box where Megumi found the finger says, and it has the same Kanji. This time, since it is the only finger and Sukuna is ready to take a different path, everything will be different.” another fan expressed.
