The game that has been buzzing lately is Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth – one of the titles that garnered significant attention at the recent The Game Awards event.
While it did not win any notable achievements, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth has certainly captured the essence and allure of its franchise for 2024. Good news for gamers is that they won’t have to wait too long for Square Enix to bring this blockbuster to the PC platform after a period of console exclusivity.
Unfortunately, I also found out right after that this game will not be compatible with all configurations to “run” Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth.
Specifically, the minimum technical specifications required for this blockbuster, set to launch on January 23, 2025, have been revealed, causing quite a stir among gamers. The most notable requirement is the storage space needed for this blockbuster, which is up to 155GB – a rather large figure. For comparison, even Black Myth: Wukong, which recently received an update, only requires about 110GB and is also an impressive title. However, this has been part of a general trend, as the most anticipated titles are increasingly demanding, with Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl requiring up to 160GB, not including its beta versions.
Additionally, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth also has quite high configuration requirements if gamers wish to experience it with the best frame rate. To run Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth at 60FPS with a resolution of 2K, gamers will need to equip NVIDIA RTX 4080 graphics cards, which cost around 35 million VND. This does not even take into account the high CPU requirements that are equally demanding. Of course, you must also ensure that your monitor can support a 2K resolution and, most importantly, that you have enough storage space of 155GB.
With the current trend of games becoming increasingly demanding and requiring significant investment, gamers may need to spend more to cover their entertainment costs when playing their favorite titles.
