13-Year-Old Gamers Cause Stir in Local Community
Recently, VTV reported that two 13-year-olds (residents of Dai Ngai commune, Long Phu district, Soc Trang province) caused the death of a 70-year-old woman, shocking the local community. The brutal act involved minors and has raised concerns about violent behavior among youth.
According to the investigation, early that morning, the police identified two suspects in the case: V.B.P and N.Q.D. At the police station, both P and D confessed to committing the murder.
Initial Information: Lack of Gaming Funds Led to the Crime
Due to not having money to play games, P and D decided to rob an elderly woman. When they arrived at the home of S.T.N (70 years old), both entered through the back door and searched for valuables. When Mrs. N discovered them and called for help, P fled the house. Mrs. N followed, prompting P to strike her, causing her to fall to the ground, while simultaneously pulling out a knife from his pocket and fatally stabbing Mrs. N multiple times.
When they found that the elderly woman had died, P dragged her body into the bedroom. Then both continued to play games. After approximately 30 minutes, they returned to Mrs. N’s house to search for valuables on her body, taking 403,000 VND.
It is known that P had dropped out after finishing elementary school, while D was in the 6th grade but was often absent. After dropping out, both of them had no one to supervise them, frequently engaging in mischief, stealing fruits, and taking various items from local residents to sell. Both suspects came from challenging backgrounds; P reportedly lives with his mother, currently separated from her husband, while D lives with his grandmother as his father works in Ho Chi Minh City.
