Female Cosplayer Shares “Underage” Jinx Arcane Photos, Inviting Controversy
The concept of transforming into characters from League of Legends (LoL), especially female champions, has never been out of style. Since the release of the Arcane series by Riot, cosplayers have increasingly shared stunning photos to realize their character transformations. The most prominent character is undoubtedly Jinx/Powder – the Arcane version of a champion well-known in Summoner’s Rift.
Of course, there are also versions of Jinx Arcane that cater to an 18+ audience. Recently, a cosplayer named Araivu made headlines as she joined a group performing a Jinx Arcane cosplay concept. However, her version only slightly resembles the original… with a different hair color and eye makeup. The rest, however, is an effort to maintain the character’s distinctive appearance.
However, Araivu stirred up quite a reaction when she announced that anyone who comments on her post will immediately receive a “full unfiltered” version in private messages. This announcement from the cosplayer has sparked a lot of discussions in the comments section.
As of the evening of November 29, Araivu’s post had garnered over 1,500 comments. And of course, with such a high volume of comments, it’s not hard to guess that this cosplayer has been inundated with messages from fans.
The Jinx Arcane Post Generated a Lot of Engagement but Left the Cosplayer Feeling “Overwhelmed”
With the inability to respond to everyone who comments on her post, it’s certainly likely that many felt disappointed. And a report on X regarding her post indicated that the backlash was quite significant. However, shortly thereafter, the cosplayer’s account was flagged for “fake accounts to farm engagement,” violating the platform’s community guidelines.
At the very least, for the cosplayer, she has received the essential engagement she needed. The photos showcasing her “underage” Jinx were not just for show. As a result, it seems this cosplayer is still feeling a bit overwhelmed by the ongoing attention.
