All-Stars Vietnam Makes a Stunning Debut at KeSPA Cup 2024
The opening day of the KeSPA Cup 2024 in Group B brought many surprises for the League of Legends audience in Vietnam. The All-Stars Vietnam team, despite being rated the lowest in the tournament, managed to pull off an impressive victory against the formidable lineup of T1. Notably, this lineup still includes two members from the reigning champions of Worlds 2024, namely Gumayusi and Oner.
After that, in their match against Gen.G, although the team had released a lineup that could be considered quite strong with the participation of 4 out of 5 members from Team 1, All-Stars Vietnam still “ate soft and spat hard” and managed to hold their ground. However, Gen.G’s lineup proved to be too strong, and they secured victory after about 35 minutes of gameplay.
T1 Suffers a Shocking Defeat on the Opening Day of KeSPA Cup 2024
With a surprising defeat against All-Stars Vietnam, it is not hard to predict that T1 would not have any victories on this opening day, and the results have proven that. With the reigning champions of Worlds 2024 only sending 2 teams to participate in this tournament, along with Poby from the Challengers team and 2 members from the Academy team, T1 could not hope to provide 3 out of 5 members from Team 1 of HLE. Grizzly also previously competed in the LCK and only has Rooster as a new face.
In the match against Gen.G, both Oner and Gumayusi also struggled to shine for their younger teammates. Consequently, T1 ended the first day of competition with 3 total losses, which is a disappointing result.
