The manga Jujutsu Kaisen concluded in September, but the franchise still holds many surprises for fans. An anime adaptation will soon release a compilation film that covers Gojo’s backstory, specifically the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc. This film will compile the first episodes of Part 2.
The third part of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen has also shared its first key visuals. The release date and a brief introduction will be revealed shortly.
Additionally, the final two volumes of the manga, 29 and 30, will be released simultaneously on December 25, 2025. These volumes will include chapters 255 to 271. Author Gege Akutami will include a 16-page epilogue that is not present in the original publication of volume 30, focusing on characters Nobara Kugisaki, Panda, Yuko Ozawa, and Uraume. This new content will provide a fresh conclusion following the original ending.
While the announcement regarding the epilogue has been made on the official Jujutsu Kaisen X account, details about the characters have been revealed during Jump Festa 2025.
What will happen in the final volumes of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga?
In the battle against the King of Curses, events unfold unexpectedly as new allies appear. As sorcerers continuously descend into battle, Miguel and Larue join the fight under Gojo’s command. However, despite facing an overwhelming enemy, Sukuna remains unyielding. He is confident in his ability to handle any sorcerer challenging him.
As the battle between Yuji and Sukuna continues, he finds himself united with one of his closest friends. The story concludes in chapter 271, wrapping up the most significant battle in Jujutsu history. The conflict against the King of Curses is prolonged and arduous, and the sorcerers will have to re-establish the devastated Jujutsu society. The fate that must be realized through Gojo’s actions is to restore the world as we know it.
Clearly, the final chapters of the manga aim to raise more questions than answers as they approach their conclusion. Some developments seem to foreshadow a significant shift, leading to an ending that diverges from expectations. However, the added content has the potential to turn everything upside down, especially as fans are treated to yet another perspective of how Gege Akutami wants to conclude this saga.
The new epilogue will feature Nobara meeting Yuko, discovering that Yuko had to defend Yuji while both were still in school together. However, as this is a storytelling device that doesn’t focus entirely on these events, fans may not be able to draw conclusions regarding this matter just yet.
