Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Reveals a Tragic Ending

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga may retain its dark theme all the way to the end of the story, as suggested in chapter 270.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270 Reveals the Final Mission for Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara

The first-year trio has gone through many ups and downs since the Shibuya Incident. Previously, while Nobara’s condition remained unknown and Yuji believed she was dead, Megumi’s body was taken over by the King of Curses. Now that Sukuna has finally been defeated and the trio has a chance to reunite, it seems that the manga may offer a happy ending. However, the title of chapter 270, ‘The End of a Dream,’ hints at a conclusion for the main trio. A well-known Jujutsu Kaisen translator shared that fans refer to Yuji (yu), Megumi (me), and Nobara (no) as a trio, so the title “End of a Dream” also sounds like End of YuMeNo. However, many fans overlooked this hint as it got lost in translation.

The translator further commented: “Honestly, I don’t rely too much on any theory; I’m just here to enjoy the fun time, but my sentiment makes me think of Gojo’s dream of resetting the jujutsu world by nurturing students and sorcerers. It would be great if this chapter showcased that dream being fulfilled.”

In light of this information, a fan speculated: “Just wait until we find out that it was all just Tengen’s dream, which is why Megumi’s scar suddenly disappears and why everyone suddenly comes back to life except for those Yuji witnessed dying.”

Of course, Jujutsu Kaisen fans have their own interpretations of the meaning behind chapter 270’s title: “I understand it as the conclusion of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara’s journey since JJK will end next week. Do you believe in any specific theories for the final chapter?”

“An interesting fact. It’s unclear whether it implies a terrible ending or a state of dreamlike delusion. I think it probably resembles the trio’s conclusion in the next chapter more because it will end there.”, another fan added.

With the manga Jujutsu Kaisen concluding next week, fans are hoping for a second part, but Shonen Jump has not promised a sequel.

Nevertheless, many fans are eagerly awaiting Jujutsu Kaisen Part 2: “I really can’t believe that the last chapter of JJK is this week. I am an absolute believer in the theories about a second part to the point that if it doesn’t happen, I will be very disappointed.”

However, there are also many fans who believe that there will never be a Part 2. One of them shared: “Those who think there will be a Part 2 must be feeling very difficult. It’s clear that Gege has finished this story, and that is evident in his writing and in the number of breaks he’s taken over the past few years.”
