BLG Becomes a Victim of Transfer “Drama” in LPL
For long-time fans of the LPL, IG is a familiar name, having won the World Championship in 2018. After several years of declining performance, IG has decided to “go big” in the upcoming 2025 season by heavily investing to bring in stars like TheShy, Rookie, and GALA to re-enter the race in the LPL. Additionally, they are targeting the current jungler of BLG – Xun to bolster their roster, which has sparked a transfer “drama” in the region.
According to reports from Sohu, this situation came to light when IG’s manager, Guokui, unexpectedly received a ban from LPL’s organizing committee. After discussions with related parties, Sohu discovered that this manager engaged in “under-the-table” dealings with multiple players to entice them to join IG for the upcoming season. Among these was BLG’s Xun, so when this “under-the-table” activity was exposed, IG’s manager faced appropriate sanctions.
Following this ban, it is likely that Xun will not remain with BLG and will seek a new team. It seems that BLG may no longer trust him after the aforementioned incident. There are many rumors that Xun is about to join JDG after the team parted ways with its old roster. For BLG, it is highly likely that Wei will become the main jungler for the team in the upcoming season.
BLG Suffers Significant Loss After the “Drama”
Fairly speaking, Xun is an outstanding player who has been with BLG for many years. Furthermore, in addition to his technical skills, Xun plays an important role in boosting the team’s morale during challenging times. Therefore, his potential departure from BLG could lead to mental struggles for the team when facing strong opponents.
Additionally, Xun’s performance during the playoffs of the recent 2024 World Championship was quite impressive. Clearly, losing a player who understands the team and has excellent gameplay capabilities like Xun would be a significant disadvantage for BLG. If this player indeed joins JDG and comes back to “haunt” BLG in the upcoming season, it would be nothing short of a “disaster” for the team. Perhaps BLG fans can only hope that Wei will perform well and help the team avoid bleak prospects in the next season.
