Will FIFA Launch a New Football Game?
So far, the gaming community is quite familiar with the FIFA series. This series can be considered the largest football game franchise in history, having developed over 30 years to become a monument in the international gaming scene.
However, since FIFA parted ways with EA, the series has been rebranded as EA Sports FC. This shocking transition still leaves many questions in the hearts of gamers. On one hand, EA continues to produce many new projects under the EA Sports FC banner. On the other hand, FIFA is not sitting idly by; it recently announced the launch of its own mobile game, named FIFA Rivals.
What’s Special About FIFA Rivals?
According to initial introductions, FIFA Rivals is set to launch on iOS and Android in the summer of 2025. The game will be produced by FIFA in collaboration with Mythical Games, the studio behind many famous sports games like NFL Rivals and Nitro Nation World Tour.
FIFA Rivals is expected to be a perfect addition to the future football gaming market. Unlike FIFA’s previous project with EA, FIFA Rivals promises to deliver an “arcade†style experience, allowing players to manage their own football clubs and use their teams to compete against other players in real-time PvP arcade matches.
It is known that FIFA Rivals is one of the first games outside of Matchday Champions to have the official license and branding of FIFA after the organization split from EA two years ago.
