Manga Dragon Ball Super Reveals an Interesting Detail About Goku That Many Overlook
During his time on Yadrat in Dragon Ball Z, after the battle with Frieza on Namek, the Saiyan learned many techniques from the alien inhabitants, not just the famously known Instant Transmission.
The Dragon Ball Super anime concluded in 2018, wrapping up the Tournament of Power arc, which was won by Android 17 for Universe 7.
Since then, the manga has continued to evolve with three new arcs.
The first of these three arcs is titled “Galactic Patrol Prisoner,” featuring Moro as the main antagonist. This creature is known as a world-eater and poses a significant threat to the entire universe. That is why the Z fighters need to seek assistance to stop Moro.
Vegeta, along with a Galactic Patrol member named Irico, travels to Yadrat to learn something that can help defeat Moro, similar to how Goku learned Instant Transmission.
Vegeta received guidance from the elder Yardrat, named Pybara, who was responsible for teaching Goku Instant Transmission during his time on the planet.
During training, Vegeta learned the art of Spirit Control, which allows Yardrats to perform techniques such as Instant Transmission, cloning, and enlargement. Pybara explained that this technique is essentially about controlling the spirit to accomplish various tasks.
With this mechanism, the user can create clones or enlarge their body. Goku also learned all of this on Yadrat, but until this point, we have never seen him use these abilities before.
It wasn’t until near the end of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc that we finally saw Goku’s body enlarge, reminiscent of all the things he could do with the Spirit Control ability he learned on Yadrat.
Goku utilized this giant form to fight Moro and later in the Granolah arc, when he pushed Gas away from Granolah.
