Overall Market Share
According to the survey, the gaming consoles own the majority of the market share when it comes to online gaming. Roughly 53% of respondents said they use gaming consoles, while 47% prefer PCs as their gaming platform.
Distribution Based on Age Group
The survey also looked into the market share distribution based on different age groups. The results showed that although gaming consoles lead in overall market share, the preference for PCs increases as the age group gets older.
Among the respondents aged between 18-24 years old, 58% use gaming consoles, whereas 42% prefer PCs. In contrast, among respondents aged 45-54 years old, 53% use PCs, while only 47% use gaming consoles.
