Black Myth: Wukong Made Waves in 2024
Not only does it feature an exceptional combat system, but the game also delights many players with its stunning landscapes of China, and above all, it draws heavily from the well-known story of Journey to the West. Following the success of Black Myth: Wukong, another blockbuster with many similarities is set to be released soon.
The game is titled Where Winds Meet – an open-world blockbuster set in China during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
In this game, players take on the role of a young warrior who traverses various lands, learning new combat and survival skills along the way. The game was first introduced at Gamescom 2022 and is said to bear a strong resemblance to Ghost of Tsushima. Its open-world style shares similarities with Breath of the Wild. More importantly, the graphics of the game are incredibly impressive, quickly catching the attention of gamers.
Additionally, Where Winds Meet promises to offer an excellent combat system featuring a variety of weapons such as swords, fans, dual blades, umbrellas, and daggers. Players can choose their style based on their preferences, whether to sneak stealthily or fight like samurais. The developers have also teased that Where Winds Meet will include many exciting features, such as skills for running on water, climbing cliffs, or mimicking animal behaviors.
The release date for Where Winds Meet is expected to be in 2025, following a postponement from its previous launch date of July 2024. This open-world RPG will be available on both PC and PlayStation platforms.
