Another Arena of Valor player banned permanently
Last night, Garena announced the punishment for player Zeus MN and the entire Zeus Entertainment team. This penalty has not only shocked the Arena of Valor community but has also sparked discussions across various forums in the Vietnamese gaming community.
Specifically, player Võ Nguyễn Minh Nhựt (in-game name Zeus MN) was fined 150 million VND (deducted from the prize money of the Winter 2024 tournament) for violating Article 10.10.9 and Article 10.10.17 of the tournament regulations for the Winter 2024 tournament. Additionally, Zeus MN will be permanently banned from competing in all tournaments organized or co-organized by the Vietnam Entertainment and Esports Joint Stock Company.
As for the Zeus team, since other members Lê Văn Học, Đỗ Tuấn Linh, Ngô Văn Nhân, and Trương Lê Công Quốc Hậu have not cooperated to clarify information as requested, and Zeus Media has not fulfilled its responsibility to manage members, they will be stripped of their right to participate in the promotion round of the Winter 2024 tournament.
The shock of the Vietnamese Arena of Valor community
In fact, Zeus MN’s actions had been reported and detected quite some time ago. During the Winter 2024 tournament, he was condemned and criticized by many for his blatant “match-fixing” behavior. Zeus Media subsequently terminated the contract with this player and issued an apology. However, this action did not satisfy the gaming community, as many other members are still under suspicion and have not been thoroughly addressed.
Now, after a long wait, Garena has finally imposed a deserving punishment. Zeus MN will become the third player in history, after Bé Chanh and NTzz, to be permanently banned from domestic tournaments. There is even a possibility that the remaining members of Zeus Media will face similar penalties, as Garena is conducting a more thorough investigation into the current controversy.
