An old character from Naruto criticized after Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 14

Ibiki Morino showcases his talent as a fearsome interrogator in Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 14, but his brutal actions are not well received by the readers.

When Boruto was captured by Konoha shinobi in chapter 13, it was clear that he would face some serious issues in the future. This is exactly what happens in chapter 14, as the main character is being interrogated.

The interrogation begins with Konohamaru calmly asking Boruto questions about Shinju and eventually about Naruto’s ‘death.’ However, things quickly become contentious when Ibiki Morino takes over from Konohamaru to “interrogate” Boruto.

As an experienced interrogator, Ibiki Morino is known for his harsh questioning techniques, as we have seen in the original Naruto series.

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14, Ibiki takes control of the interrogation when the main character refuses to reveal his source of information – Koji Kashin, even after being threatened with death. Ibiki Morino reveals that he has been looking forward to facing Boruto since learning about Naruto’s death.

Ibiki Morino interrogating Boruto

When the young boy mocks Ibiki for having too much free time, he slams Boruto’s head onto the table before brutally attacking him. This scene is hard to accept, especially when readers know Boruto is innocent and doing all of this to save the world.

However, Ibiki and the others do not know this. They only see Boruto as a criminal who has taken the life of their beloved Seventh Hokage. Therefore, in a way, their resentment and brutal treatment of the alleged murderer can be understood. Yet, readers still find their actions toward a teenager somewhat excessive, especially when compared to how Naruto treated Kawaki kindly.

A fan expressed: “I need justice for all those who have hurt Boruto, especially if everyone realizes that he and Kawaki were swapped; I want to see a line of people apologizing to him one by one.”

“Don’t forget they mentioned in Naruto that Ibiki is a brutal character, so it’s no surprise he wants to physically harm Boruto before delving into his mind,” another person added.

Even though the main character has a tough time in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14, fortunately, he is freed by the end of the chapter. Now readers are eagerly anticipating what Boruto will do next.
