For many gamers, alongside PC gaming, there are still those who have a profound passion for manga and view it as a valuable cultural asset with high spiritual worth.
Therefore, the act of collecting manga volumes isn’t particularly difficult to understand. However, sometimes the story escalates to the point of drastic reactions, as demonstrated in the case of the gamer mentioned below.
The main character in this story is a 20-year-old gamer (we’ll call him A). This young man also has a deep-seated habit of collecting manga and magazines.
Initially, it seemed like a common hobby, but due to his obsession, A lived in a house that was overflowing with magazines and manga, leaving no space for anything else. It was due to this that A’s mother decided to dispose of 32 volumes of the popular series Attack on Titan, which her son had amassed after finding the books piled up on the stairs, creating a mess.
The story mainly revolves around this point. However, the situation took a drastic turn when A learned that his mother had thrown away his manga collection and immediately reported the incident to the police. His mother, feeling guilty about her actions, tried to apologize and reconcile with her son, but A refused to accept her apology. Ultimately, according to the court’s decision, the mother was deemed to have violated A’s property rights and was ordered to compensate him approximately 3.5 million VND for his collection.
In this case, the public’s reaction has been quite divided regarding the young gamer as the main character in the story. Nevertheless, everything could have been resolved quietly, gently, and with a more positive spirit.
