This billionaire has recently gained notoriety not only as a tech mogul but also as an exceptional gamer. He has been reported to be the top Diablo 4 player in the world after overcoming the ultra-challenging Pit of Acheron at level 150 in under two minutes. Recently, Musk showcased his gaming skills again, this time with incredible performance in Path of Exile 2, where the developers noted his usage of supportive software due to his remarkably fast actions.
Just recently, Elon Musk continued to amaze fans after revealing that he is playing Path of Exile 2, but not from home, rather on an airplane.
It is important to note that Path of Exile 2 is an online real-time game, meaning maintaining a stable connection with high speed is essential for playing this title on an airplane, which is no simple feat. Of course, Elon Musk accomplishes this thanks to the Starlink system developed by his company Tesla. He proudly shared this information on his personal Twitter account, which currently boasts over 207 million followers.
“Starlink is good enough that you can play real-time games while flying!” – this is Elon Musk’s unwavering claim. Furthermore, in the comments section below, a fan humorously proposed the idea of playing games on Mars, hinting at the possibility of Starlink being able to “connect the universe and beyond.” However, unfortunately, due to the speed of light and vast distances, this idea may not be feasible. Elon Musk believes that we could play games on Mars, but not with real-time games because the light speed delay would be too significant. Only when we can establish a direct Ethernet connection between the two planets could this become a reality, though of course, this is a far-off technological aspiration.
In November, Elon announced plans to establish an AI gaming studio with the goal of creating video games that are “truly enjoyable.” The day after, he hinted at potentially acquiring Hasbro Studio, feeling optimistic about the Dungeons & Dragons series, which is currently showing promising signs of revival.
