The game that is currently being talked about in this round is Dead by Daylight Mobile.
Initially developed by NetEase, after a long time of trying to maintain, this bombshell game has finally reached the end of its journey. This game will officially withdraw from app stores, and then completely shut down in the coming months. Dead by Daylight Mobile is still available on iOS and Google Play, but it will soon be removed from both platforms by the beginning of 2025.
Released in 2020, Dead by Daylight Mobile is the free version of the horror game developed by Behaviour Interactive. The global version has been improved and released again with the collaboration of NetEase Games.
However, the game has not brought back very positive results. The number of players has significantly decreased, and the download rates have dropped too low for it to sustain its longevity as the main game on PC or console. This is the main reason that led to the mobile bombshell having to make the decision to shut down.
Dead by Daylight Mobile will withdraw from the iOS and Google Play platforms on January 16, 2025, before officially “shutting down,” ceasing all operations on March 20 of the same year. However, at least mobile players will not be too disappointed if they switch to playing the game on other platforms, as players will receive welcome packages that include various rewards such as Bloodpoints, Auric Cells, and Iridescent Shards related to the currency they have spent and the levels they have achieved in the mobile version.
This is quite disappointing news for mobile gamers, especially for fans of Dead by Daylight. Nevertheless, the developers have promised to give players enough notice before the transition to new platforms.
