The term “scam” has become a hot topic among netizens in 2024. The focal point is the fact that the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has published a list of transactions suspected to have been affected by the Yagi storm. Many people are creating a “positive” vibe for themselves, while some “internet detectives” have uncovered what can only be described as a large “scandal” that has never been seen before.
Louis Phạm and 5 instances of being caught “scamming”, causing great controversy
Louis Phạm (Phạm Như Phương, born in 2003) is a name that netizens continuously “check VAR” in 2024.
In the case of “scamming”, Louis Phạm reportedly used a lengthy icon to hide the amount of funds used, leading many to believe she had transferred hundreds of billions of VND. However, when the funds were investigated, netizens discovered three transactions with details that matched the content and timing of the transfers that the VFF disclosed earlier.
In reality, the three transactions from the account named Phạm Như Phương had amounts of 500,000 VND, 10,000 VND, and 1 million VND.
Not long after that, Louis Phạm gained notoriety. She admitted to having “hidden the amount of money contributed and managed to evade accountability”. She stated that this was an action “out of line”, “not appropriate, causing a negative impact on the law, society, and family” while acknowledging her own shortcomings. After being publicly called out, Louis Phạm realized her mistakes and formally apologized, promising that such incidents would not happen again.
Previously, in June 2024, Louis Phạm was suspected to have “rented” a bank account to showcase the financial profile of another person for flexing.
Specifically, Louis Phạm was found to have uploaded a financial profile of over 800 million VND, but netizens discovered that another person had previously used the same profile before she did. Notably, the two images matched even in terms of content and the time the screenshots were taken. Additionally, many people noted that the VFF also had a note to cover the original purpose of the main character.
Moreover, a girl also used her own image uploaded since 2020 to “live fake” on Instagram and often tagged the VFF. This girl even revealed that Louis Phạm had contacted her for clarification. The message was said to be from Như Phương: “I just woke up and saw that I was being dragged into all this. I’m ready to bear the consequences, because I honestly don’t know what’s going on.”. Due to the way this message was conveyed, the author of the post was advised to delete it.
Currently, Louis Phạm is regularly active again on social media. She continues to share images of her luxurious life, traveling everywhere, playing golf, showing off her new house under construction, and enjoying the company of her beloved boyfriend.
Additionally, the VFF also showcases various impressive dance skills or unique talents as she participates in contests.
However, beneath the clips and images she shares, netizens still express a lot of skepticism regarding the “scamming” rumors.
Việt Anh Pí Po continuously apologizes as netizens turn their backs
Along with being caught in the “scamming” spotlight, Việt Anh Pí Po was also found to have manipulated transaction images.
Accordingly, Việt Anh Pí Po boasted about an amount of 20 million VND, but after being investigated, it was revealed that the actual amount was only 1 million VND. After that, he had to acknowledge the “scamming” and apologize to another person involved in the transaction, stating that the trust he had was misplaced.
“Due to my lack of foresight and personal shortcomings, I have adjusted to share online with incorrect figures. This action of mine is an absolute mistake and wrong,” Việt Anh stated. He also shared that after the incident, he transferred 20 million VND back to the VFF account.
However, this apology clip caused backlash due to Việt Anh’s false claims. After that, he had to delete the clip and write another apology.
Since then, Việt Anh has continued to keep his TikTok account private, not uploading any more clips. On Facebook, his Butin page has only been active since late November 2024. Currently, the page only has two posts, one being an image of Butin and another calling for support for a friend in need.
Yến Tattoo caught in “money laundering” scandal, returns to show business as if nothing happened
Yến Tattoo also fell under scrutiny for allegedly manipulating transaction images affected by the Yagi storm. She once flaunted a bill of money alongside a lengthy line of figures that led many to believe she had to deal with hundreds of millions of VND. However, by September 15, she was found to have only one transaction of 500,000 VND, unlike the earlier figures disclosed.
On the morning of September 16, Yến Tattoo officially addressed the situation. She admitted to creating a fake transfer slip but clarified that it was not due to “scamming” but rather to “showing off” as people were aware that she had an amount of money and if she had asked for more from others, she could have had grounds to see it.” She also denied the claim that the amount displayed was not 500 million as many people were saying.
Yến Tattoo additionally revealed that she had received money twice on September 11, totaling 5.5 million VND. After that, she received additional sums from various shows, and on the morning of September 13, she received another 20 million.
Following the incident, Yến Tattoo quickly returned to her normal activities on social media, even sharing her working schedule for November and December.
Hong Thanh’s girlfriend caught in “scamming” rumors, declared she was innocent
The most recent case of being caught in “scamming” rumors involves Bivi Vũ – Hong Thanh’s new girlfriend.
Last November, Hong Thanh publicly introduced his new girlfriend, Bivi Vũ. However, immediately after that, she was suspected of living a “scamming” life through edited images that transformed the faces of others into hers. Specifically, Bivi Vũ had two images that looked exactly like two Chinese hot girls, only differing in facial features.
After the information spread, netizens had a negative attitude, not being supportive of Bivi Vũ. Some even expressed doubts about her academic achievements or extravagant lifestyle.
Just one day later, Bivi Vũ became a subject of controversy. She admitted to using images of another person, then edited her own face into the photo and posted it on social media.
The reason for this behavior, as she explained, was that there weren’t enough unique shots of her and she felt that there wasn’t much difference compared to reality. At the same time, she also mentioned that the images showcasing her expensive bag brands had been shared on numerous websites for 4 to 5 years before, so she hadn’t intended to show off or appear ostentatious.
Hong Thanh’s girlfriend also received a lot of attention regarding her “scamming” lifestyle.
Bivi Vũ also sent an apology to individuals and groups that were negatively impacted by her actions, expressing regret about the whole situation and affirming her desire to withdraw from social media.
