Renata’s Rise in TFT Set 13
Before the release of patch 14.24 for TFT Set 13, Renata was defined as a champion with a unique ability to both deal damage and provide buffs, showcasing a blend of offensive and support capabilities. However, the strength of this champion has not been particularly notable when utilized in compositions that focus on “sustain” and high “human” traits. Riot has recognized this oversight and proceeded to buff Renata in the recent 14.24 patch, transforming her into an incredibly powerful unit.
According to observations, the damage output from Renata’s ability has been significantly buffed across all tiers, enhancing her synergy with SMPT items. Coupled with the buffs to champions like Vex and Morgana, the new compositions featuring Renata are capable of achieving strong power spikes in the early to mid-game. Consequently, the reroll compositions with Renata have emerged as formidable contenders in the current meta.
Building the Renata – Mystic Composition in TFT Set 13
In the early game, players should aim to start with both Vex and Morgana to ensure a strong damage output right from the beginning. Next, valuable units like Irelia or Singed should be prioritized for the frontline, as they possess excellent survivability. Additionally, players might want to consider incorporating Rell into the composition to leverage Renata’s energy recovery capabilities.
After reaching level 6, players should focus on rolling down to find and upgrade both Renata and Rell. Leona is also a strong early game unit that can serve as a formidable frontline during battles. In addition, players can utilize Sett to activate the three Mystic trait before searching for Illaoi during their reroll phase.
After successfully upgrading Renata and Rell, players should quickly push to level 8 to complete their composition. At this level, Illaoi will be the preferred unit to activate the critical traits of 4 Mystic and 3 Mystic. Additionally, players can transition to Heimerdinger and Jayce at level 8 to further enhance the composition’s early game synergy. If these units are combined with the Mystic trait, they can effectively synergize with Renata’s buffs.
Key Tips for Building the Composition
Given the unique energy recovery traits from the Mystic champions, players should prioritize assembling the Shoujin Gunblade as much as possible when developing the composition. This item pairs well with most Mystic champions from Vex, Morgana to Renata and Heimerdinger. Regarding the itemization, equipping the Star Guardian items can create powerful synergies, allowing players to quickly upgrade key units and sustain their frontline.
Additionally, the items such as Lore of the Lost Guardian and Pandora’s Box are also highly compatible with this composition.
