Dragon Ball Daima Introduces Powerful Guardians of the Demon Realm: Tamagami. How Do They Compare to the Enemies Goku Has Faced So Far?
Dragon Ball Daima marks the beginning of a completely new adventure for Goku. Currently, he and the Supreme Kai are delving deep into the Demon Realm to rescue Dende from the ferocious jaws of King Gomah. Meanwhile, they also have a plan to seize the powerful dragon balls of the Demon Realm to fulfill their goals.
However, the dragon balls of the great demon lord are protected by mighty golems, considered to be the strongest warriors in the entire realm.
As Glorio explained in the latest episode of the anime, the inhabitants of the Demon Realm are aware of the dragon balls’ existence, but no one has ever managed to obtain them. This is because all three dragon balls are protected by the Tamagami, who are believed to be stronger than the Supreme Demon King.
What Are Tamagami in Dragon Ball Daima?
In Dragon Ball Daima, Tamagami are introduced as the three warrior guardians of the dragon balls in the Demon Realm. These warriors, along with the dragon balls, were created by a Namekian named Neva. They are so powerful that no one has ever been able to challenge them without facing dire consequences. Gomah is also so strong that he cannot be defeated. This is the reason why Goku and others find it challenging to access the dragon balls here, turning them into children instead.
No Tamagami has been thoroughly detailed yet, so their true nature remains somewhat mysterious. It is speculated that they are a type of golem or a machine moving automatically to protect the dragon balls.
Although Tamagami might be the strongest beings in the Demon Realm, based on what we know about the environment of the Demon Realm, they may not necessarily be unbeatable warriors. They might only be strong compared to the “weak” state that Goku is currently experiencing.
Goku Has Become Seriously Weak Upon Entering the Demon Realm
As demonstrated in several early episodes of Dragon Ball Daima, Goku has become significantly weakened, not only due to the new mini form he has taken on, but also because of the harsh environment of the Demon Realm. While Goku is still trying to adapt to using his new form, he finds that the Demon Realm’s environment is so intense that it prevents him from flying far. Ultimately, Goku may adapt to these circumstances and become stronger, but the environment also makes Tamagami significantly more powerful in comparison.
There is a possibility that Goku’s standard form could still defeat these warriors, but only if he is in a state that is stronger than the one he currently finds himself in. Moreover, the inhabitants of the Demon Realm are also quite unfamiliar with Ki and their potential, which only serves to make Tamagami even stronger.
Therefore, while Tamagami may be the strongest warriors in the Demon Realm, in the grand scheme of the Dragon Ball series, they might not be the ultimate challenge for the protagonists.
