Black Myth: Wukong is expected to be one of the biggest blockbuster titles of 2024, potentially contending for the Game of the Year award at The Game Awards event later this year.
Featuring stunning graphics, engaging gameplay, and deeply rooted in the traditional tales from *Journey to the West*, this game has captivated many fans and left them eager for more. However, it has been over three months since the game was released, and players are wondering when Black Myth: Wukong will see additional DLC content to enhance its storyline.
There is a lot of information circulating about the DLCs for Black Myth: Wukong. Firstly, a credible source indicates that Game Science will release these DLCs during the Lunar New Year period, possibly in February 2025.
Additionally, Feng Ji, the CEO of Game Science, hinted that there would be a significant surprise for Black Myth: Wukong fans by the end of this year. This news came after Black Myth: Wukong won the Ultimate Game of the Year award at the recent Golden Joystick Awards, which has only increased the anticipation among gamers.
However, shortly after this announcement, Feng Ji made a surprising “U-turn.” Just a day later, this CEO caused quite a stir by expressing great excitement over the positive reception of the game, while also admitting that the DLCs for Black Myth: Wukong are still under development. Game Science is known for its unique approach to game storytelling, and it’s clear that Feng Ji’s statement has left many fans yearning for more.
Nonetheless, there are still concerns that this might just be a “teaser” from the CEO to ensure continued interest. According to multiple sources, Black Myth: Wukong was initially planned to have 13 chapters; however, after its release, the development team had to shorten the length and content to meet launch deadlines. The remaining chapters will be transitioned into future DLCs.
