Content That Leaves Facebook Users Frustrated
Nowadays, it’s not difficult to encounter various media tricks on social networks. Regardless of their methods, these content creators are solely focused on finding ways to “get views and likes” without realizing they are promoting harmful ideologies.
For instance, a recent Facebook fan page has emerged, boasting nearly 150,000 followers and specializing in posting such content. This fan page stages videos titled “Testing Beautiful Girls,” using cash and actors dressed in revealing outfits to attract viewers’ attention.
A character frequently initiates conversations with female actors on the street and demands they perform outrageous tasks in exchange for cash. After fulfilling the requests, this character might run away or “reveal their true intentions,” even presenting controversial viewpoints and life philosophies.
Do These Types of Content Affect Viewers?
In reality, such content not only distorts thinking but also contributes to spreading unhealthy views and behaviors within the community, particularly among the youth—who are more susceptible to the forms of entertainment prevalent on social networks. What is even more concerning is that these types of content easily attract large amounts of interaction, motivating fan pages and individuals producing this content to continue creating similar videos.
To prevent the spread of such content, each user must take greater responsibility when consuming and interacting with new information. Social media platforms like Facebook also need to tighten their moderation policies and strictly handle accounts and content that violate these rules in the future.
