Dr. Stone: A Shonen Manga and Anime Following Senku in a Future World Where Civilization Has Nearly Disappeared
The young genius scientist has made it his mission to restore the world to what it was over 3000 years ago. Season 3 of Dr. Stone has been aired in two parts, each consisting of 11 episodes.
The story revolves around Senku and his friends on a new island, where they uncover the truth behind the petrification phenomenon. The second part of season 3 concluded with an intense cliffhanger, as Senku plans to resurrect as many people as possible to support his space program.
However, Ukyo discusses Dunbar’s number, a theory suggesting that a group can effectively operate with fewer than 150 people. Different perspectives among many individuals can lead to conflicts and the breakdown of the group. Therefore, while Senku’s admirable plan to resurrect more people comes with its own risks.
Nonetheless, this young genius is not one to shy away from challenges, as he plans to sail to the United States in search of sweet corn, the food source needed to create thousands of gallons of revival fluid. The season ends with Senku and his team ready to embark on their journey to America.
TMS Studio Confirms That Dr. Stone Season 4 Will Begin Airing in 2025, Divided into Three Parts Unlike Season 3, Which Only Had Two Parts.
Jump Festa 2025 will take place on December 21 and 22, 2024, where more information about the upcoming season will be shared. However, many fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the recent announcement, with very few supporting the studio’s decision.
One fan wrote: “Three parts? Release them all together. I’m willing to wait.”
“They need to stop this nonsense of splitting the final season into multiple parts! Release the whole thing at once or don’t release any parts at all,” another added.
One more fan complained: “I’m really fed up with this episodic release style these days.”
However, there are still other fans who support the studio: “If they released everything at once, you’d have to wait longer; releasing them in smaller parts means you don’t have to wait too long for the season to start. Be grateful it’s being released in three parts.”
